Yesterday, I was commiserating with my granddaughter, Jordan Élan Levy (Stage name: Élan) about the sporadic nature of cash flow when you are an entrepreneur at your core. Jordan has been working on her first album for a couple of years now and is on the verge of releasing it. She has been doing other things (barista, jewelry maker, etc.) to make ends meet. In the process, she has learned A LOT about being an artist and making a living at it.
She has been selling her jewelry in the little coffee shop where she works. She said, “Hey Grams, you should frame your portfolio pieces and try to sell them at The Corner Cup. They would love to have something different to display.”
Jordan gave me the email for the curator at The Corner Cup and I reached out to her. They loved my work! Go figure. Alrighty then. New project. Stay tuned…
How cool is that!
