Well, folks, I finally sold my house and got moved into my new home. It’s weird being in an apartment again, but I’m loving not having to worry about maintenance, yardwork, housework, cooking for myself, and trying to keep up financially with everything.
I made decision to sell my house on December 15, 2025, and closed on April 8, 2026. It felt like forever, but it happened relatively fast. My amazing daughter packed up my house and helped me downsize. [HINT: If you are over 65, start getting rid of stuff NOW! It is amazing what we hang onto.]
I moved to a senior living community about 10 miles away from the house I sold. My daughter has been helping me get unpacked and settled. I think we only have about 25 more boxes to unpack (out of only-God-knows-how-many we started with).
I love my apartment and the community. The picture above is the view from my office window.
All this to say that I’m ready to start writing again. I have a dozen projects rolling around in my head. Watch this space!
